Ray's Bio I was born in 1971. I first
picked up the bass in 1990, a year after I first started playing
guitar, but did not get into it seriously for about another five
years. I played guitar in a short lived heavy metal band called
Whipping Post from late 93 to mid 94. After hearing bands like
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Primus I really became interested
in playing bass full time. I also wrote and recorded some of my
own music, which I played guitar and bass on.
I joined THE RANDY DUNCAN BAND in October of
2005, shortly after being invited to perform a live rendition of
"The Delbert Window Pain Suites" with Del Phillips and and the
other members of the Randy Duncan Band. I am also involved with
The Yak Band on Denman Island, also known as "The New Years
Band" because we only do about one gig a year, usually New Years
Eve. By day I am a backhoe
operator/blaster.
